Dylan Quek has always been a curious and active kid in his early childhood. From dismantling radio sets and VHS players to playing sports such as track and field, basketball, and volleyball, he was also deeply involved in the school’s military band, majoring as a flutist and saxophonist.

He graduated with a Diploma in Computer Engineering and thereafter pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing. During his university days, he was scouted for his university’s pageant and a Singapore modeling competition. Gradually, he embarked on a journey into the industry just before making his debut on screen.

In 2010, just after graduation, Dylan Quek was set to join an international modeling competition. However, he was scouted for a Talent Search Program by Singapore’s TV station. He took part in the latter through an audition and emerged from thousands of participants from Singapore, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan as one of the Top 10 male contestants. It was during this competition that he discovered his passion for acting, leading him to continue pursuing a career on screen.
